As a Technical Co-Founder (m/f/d) located in Hamburg, Germany you take part in co-designing a Decentralized Data Cloud Business Model from a technical perspective. On top of that, you are responsible for building and leading a Crypto-Tech Department. In order to achieve the goals, you should be able to code key components of the project yourself as well as hire a team of top engineers. You will support a long-term scalable tech strategy/vision & the ability to combine it with short-term needs.

Your Responsibilities

• Get involved in defining the USP and target user group for our decentralized data storage solution
• Design the interplay between token-usage/incentivization and storage, replication, encryption, retrieval, performance, etc.
• Working close together with the founders to define/develop the business plan
• Hiring Engineers: identify great from good engineers
• Set the motivation level and company culture
• Define tech roles and adapt this engineering hiring plan on an ongoing basis
• Leading & developing team members
• Building an agile working environment
• First-hand knowledge of the entire code-base
• Ability to ‘fix it’ yourself in case the team doesn’t get it done (and additional ability to ensure it doesn’t happen again)
• Make critical decisions on the tech stack
• Defining long term tech strategy & vision
• Deciding when ‘done is better than perfect’ is ok.
• Set design principles

You should bring

• Sound understanding of Blockchain-powered data storage business models
• Experience in starting a business from scratch
• Technical understanding of decentralized cloud data storage
• Significant tech hiring experience
• Relevant leadership experience in start-up companies/culture
• Experience in growing/leading agile working teams
• Mentoring/Teaching attitude
• Hands-on attitude, top coding skills
• Knowledge of Backend, Frontend, Smart Contracts, DevOps, DApps, etc.
• First-hand coding experience within crypto-businesses
• A deep understanding of crypto-specific technical opportunities and realities
• Knowing the latest technologies and standards
• Experience with scalable tech strategy/vision
