Senior Full Stack Engineer

• Current offices in Los Angeles, CA and Cayman Islands.
• (40% of company is US-based; 60% outside the U.S.)

The xx Labs Web Team is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to be a principal engineer for the xx network block explorer. In this role you will work closely with our blockchain engineers, designers, and front-end engineers.

We’re looking for a candidate with extensive web dev experience who can also maintain a project plan in coordination with executive leadership and ensure timelines are met. Job Responsibilities

• Take on the mission of creating a global, first class blockchain platform and web experience, bringing together the privacy technology and cryptocurrency features of xx network
• Guide decisions on overall technical plan, including architecture and technical strategy.
• Help the web team to deliver quality products on time and with a user-first mentality
• Foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies our company values including an inclusive mentality
• Stay up to date on industry trends and competing technologies and cross-apply knowledge to developing our web products

Qualifications

• English fluency
• Formal engineering background. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years experience in web development
• Familiarity with the following technologies:
  • React / Typescript / NodeJS
  • GraphQL / Hasura / Apollo / Prisma
  • Knex / Postgresql
  • Dokku / Netlify / Heroku
  • Kubernetes / Docker / Nginx
  • CI / CD / AWS
• Experience with blockchain/cryptocurrency/open source projects.
• Experience populating databases and API implementations.
• Experience with the phases of standard software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum)

Nice to Haves

• Experience managing geographically distributed, high performing teams
• Experience with the Parity Substrate platform
• Experience with browser extension development
