Solidity Engineer

FIAT DAO is the digital cooperative stewarding development of the FIAT protocol. FIAT, short for Fixed Income Asset Token, allows users to access leverage against their fixed income positions across DeFi.

We are looking for a Solidity Engineer to join our team as we move on to the second phase of our protocol development. You will be asked to contribute to the introduction of governance token utility; the implementation of a new on-chain DAO smart contract architecture; the deployment of new collateral vaults; and the exploration of emergent use cases like collateral swaps and hedge vaults. You will be playing a key role in our team’s ability to balance protocol maintenance with research and development.

You will be asked to perform the following responsibilities:

• Design and maintain production-grade smart contracts
• Writing specifications and technical documentation
• Collaborating with protocol researchers and the product design team on protocol development

The following are certain qualifications we’ll be on the look out for:

• 2+ years of Solidity development experience
• Understanding of the DeFi design space, in particular mechanisms pioneered by MakerDAO, Curve, Liquity, and Aave
• Familiarity with common Solidity libraries (e.g. OpenZeppelin, DappSys)
• Previous experience working with DappTools, Foundry or Hardhat
• Comfortable with NatSpec in-line documentation
• English fluency
