Opportunity

Decentral Park Capital is searching for a Crypto Trader to join the team and work directly with the Chief Investment Officer to build out the firm’s trading desk and infrastructure. This individual is experienced in proprietary trading and operating a trading desk or function, specifically in digital assets, F/X, or derivative products. We are looking for a Crypto Trader with 4+ years of trading experience who is passionate about digital assets and the opportunity to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment as a critical member of the team.

What you’ll do

Working directly with the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager you will develop trading strategies (liquid token, derivatives, staking and yield farming), develop a best in class trading infrastructure and execution platform, and execute all firm trading. You will work with the Head of Research to develop sector views and execute across the entire spectrum of token assets to include short term store of value opportunities to longer term alternative token strategies. Specific responsibilities include:

• Identify and implement trading strategies to capture opportunity within the cryptocurrency markets (spot coins, derivatives, DeFi)
• Develop, deploy & manage market making algorithms for cryptocurrencies
• Manage execution of trades for Decentral Park’s portfolios across many liquidity sources, using your trading skills to minimize market impact
• Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in managing portfolio risk
• Develop and share a deep understanding of market-structure, fundamental trends and regulatory considerations in the cryptocurrency markets
• Execute on initiatives and key milestones. There are numerous opportunities to grow the business. You will collaborate with the team to prioritize those initiatives and ensure delivery against agreed upon milestones.
• Work with analysts and researchers to develop models and create new strategies
• Identify & react to market trends & opportunities
• Execute & improve trading systems for implementing algorithmic crypto trades
• Develop risk management protocols and frameworks
• Work closely with firm leadership to identify and execute upon opportunities within the crypto trading space that enhances operational efficiency and processes
• Research and develop low latency, HFT crypto strategies

About you

• 3-6 years experience in electronic trading, with a focus on cryptocurrency (strong FX market making & systematic traders will be considered)
• Strong knowledge of the digital asset space and desire to be at the forefront of crypto market development
• Experience with multiple asset classes, including spot, futures, FX, and options
• Ability to work with researchers & developers to collaborate on back-testing & running sims on trading strategies
• Strong programming skills (Python, C++, and/or Solidity)
• Strong technical skills with ability to use advanced technologies to deploy & manage trading strategies
• Advanced degree with concentration on STEM, Quantitative educational background preferred
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and work in a high paced environment
• Profitable track record in the crypto trading space
• Derivatives trading background strongly preferred
• Self-started with the ability to work independently but within a team environment
