On the latest episode of Infinite Football, Ryan, Franco, and Tom envision what a soccer equivalent of golf’s Ryder Cup would look like. Who would start for Team Europe and Team Rest of the World? Where would the games take place? And more importantly, who would win?
I feel like no love for Gerrard as a possible coach for the Europeans is a shocking oversight... Alonso is great — no disrespect for the choice... but the fact that Gerrard wasn't even mentioned is nigh unforgivable from a Liverpool fan, hahaha.
Much disrespect for Joel Matip, didn't even get a mention for RotW centre-back.
Also if Brexit is excluding players from the European team, you'd also have to take out Scottish Robertson, as well as Grealish's natural replacement on the left, Welsh Gareth Bale. Presumably those players would then be available for the RotW, though I don't think TAA, Robertson or Grealish is making much difference - the biggest gain would be Henderson or Bellingham instead of Paredes
