Lead Blockchain Engineer

Weirdo is an ambitious project using blockchain to build a functioning creator economy for film. We’re starting as a highly-curated, token-gated community focused on short works. We are early stage (and hence no website up yet!), and are building a team with strong film, technology and blockchain expertise. This work will provide a foundation for our first community launch — and would have the potential to grow into a larger or even leadership role in the company.

We are looking for experienced expertise in developing our initial “crypto stack,” including:

• Protocol choices
• Smart contracts for community token and early NFTs
• Integrations (wallets, external exchanges, etc.)
• Governance tools
• Input into whitepaper

Key requirements

• Solidity/Web3.js experience
• Experience with social token and NFT smart contracts (ERC-721/1155)
• Experience writing / contributing to whitepapers- Experience with privacy and security best practices
• Ability to collaborate with our lead platform engineer
• (Ideal) experience with tokenomics design

For the right candidate, we are open to combining project fees with a stake in our social token, or potentially equity in the company.
