Job Description

We’re hiring consultative sales professionals and account strategists who can advise SmartRecruiters existing customers on how to shift job advertising spend toward smarter channels and methods like programmatic advertising. In this role, you’ll report to the GM and VP Advertising Solutions, and drive growth of one of SmartRecruiters fastest growing products. What You’ll Deliver: 

As an Advertising Account Executive with a quota, the successful candidate will earn the trust and advertising budgets of Recruiting leaders by owning total commercial responsibility for a territory of accounts. Key responsibilities across discovery, account strategy, and sales execution include the items listed below:

  • Map the org chart of each account to understand where budgets live, and who influences recruitment advertising, sourcing, and branding budget creation
  • Uncover and document hiring plans and strategic initiatives to support with job advertising
  • Identify pains, gaps, and gains that customers wish to achieve via a revitalized ad strategy
  • Deliver new business proposals as well as expansion/upsell plans
  • Deliver sales presentations and product demos that highlight SmartRecruiters differentiators and unique advantages as the ATS / system of record
  • Master objection handling and collaborate with product specialists / solution consultants to solve for complex customer needs
  • Own account plans for each strategic customer in your territory
  • Deliver a quarterly territory plan to the GM advertising, aimed at maximizing total ad budget under management via new business and expansions
  • Manage a pipeline of new sales and expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Sr. Advertising Campaign manager and Product Operations leader on successful campaign launches and hand-offs, and attend standing customer meetings
  • Manage day to day inbound customer questions and requests

Qualifications

  • 2 minimum with 5 preferred years of work experience in account management, recruitment advertising, or sales
  • Comfort creating presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint)
  • Comfort manipulating data in spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel)
  • Confidence in telling data-driven stories that customers understand
  • Formal sales methodology training a plus (e.g., ValueSelling, Sandler, Meddic, Challenger)
