While the evidence shows that these vaccines have little if any benefit and have substantial to great risks, the mask argument was never a top priority. After all, you can take it off, no study shows long term consequences of a little bit higher CO2 levels.
Recently, I watched a video of young students voice their opinions and they have swayed my opinion. I have never really respected opinions of children, as they are children. I want to increase the voting age. Humans cerebral cortexes are not formed until 25 years of age. That being said, I watched two videos of testimony given by these two courageous young women and they make extremely valid points. I have now gone from indifferent on child masking to against it.
This is the first girl to sway me. She starts at 14:10 and goes for three minutes. The woman after her does what we should all be doing and speaks for children.
Some of the points this courageous young woman makes:
We never ask kids what they think.
The masks have become a virtue signal.
Many other states have abandoned this practice with no severe outcomes.
Mandatory masking teaches compliance with inane government policies.
Masking is showing kids that any risk is unacceptable.
The other video which I saw, but cannot find at the moment, was of a British young woman with red hair crying on a British news channel about how her life and the lives of children have been ruined. She brought up the hypocrisy of masking children in school, but no adults in stadiums, theatres, and other gatherings have to wear them. Nobody asked the kids or cares about the kids. I have asked kids, just about all of them hate wearing them. They do not have the power to stand up.
We have all seen the videos of teachers taping masks on very young children, or tying them on. Who possibly benefits from this forcible masking. It is not the children as they have zero to gain from the mask. The adult that is forcibly putting the mask on the child is probably fully vaccinated and most likely boosted. What is that adult teacher afraid of? Will kids learn to hate school, or have they already?
Britain (not that I look to them for leadership) has realized this charade is over. We need to realize the same here and end this charade. Let’s stop messing with kids that have no voice. Let’s be the voice for them.
In the video above there is a girl that complains that there is not enough masking and that her fellow students are not listening to the rules enough. I feel for this young woman as she has been taught to be scared.
Being scared is not good for anyone, it is worse when that fear is fallacious. This is what we describe as a phobia. Phobias are one of the most common mental illnesses in the United States. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH), approximately 12.5% of adults in the U.S. will deal with a specific phobia in their lifetime. Women are more likely to experience phobias than men. Typical symptoms of phobias can include nausea, trembling, rapid heartbeat, feelings of unreality, and being preoccupied with the fear object. Many people have fears of things that we shouldn’t be afraid of (the number 13, spiders, riding in cars, books).
Covid is becoming a phobia for most people as even the CDC says Covid is now 91% less deadly than it was before. If Covid had a 99.8% survival rate and it is now 91% less deadly, fear of Covid should almost be considered a phobia. There are people that have Cynophobia, fear of dogs. Do we make all people get rid of dogs because people are afflicted by Cynophobia? No we don’t, then why are we masking all kids because some parents have given their kids Ronaphobia?
