🔥 1 Million ETH
We did it - the Ethereum network burned 1 million ETH in 110 days - an absolutely amazing milestone worth billions of dollars. Of course, the Ethereum network will keep burning ETH in perpetuity, but I always think its nice just to stop and reflect on big milestones - especially when it took over 2 years for EIP-1559 to be implemented to begin with! Though in saying that, it’s funny how EIP-1559 just exists and does its job to little fanfare besides these burn milestones - exactly how a protocol upgrade should function!
Have a great week everyone!
