The government of Guam decided to appeal Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood’s1 granting of a prelim injunction, which allowed residents on Guam (who are a mere 4,000 miles away from the nearest jurisdiction to get a legal abortion) access to telemedicine medication abortion. Currently, as the appeal goes through the court process, doctors off-island can provide telemedicine medication abortion to residents on island.
