I’m worried as GVB has been right so far. But I don’t understand the evolutionary pressure on the virus to select for variants that have greater transfectivity. Greater infectivity, yes sure - that is obvious. But virulence? How does that advantage the variant, if its host gets sicker and dies?
If we are in a typical flu season do they name the strains running rampant? I’ve never heard of this. So if this is a lab leaked virus they know the strands b/c they created them? So they know which strands are currently in circulation. B/c they let them fly! Correct?
I am wondering if cases will eventually subside if Pharma never makes variant specific vaccines? Maybe it would take some time but once/if the virus is pressured to mutate away from the N domain antibodies and we may see a wave of a very virulent variant (might not be explaining that right and is according to Geert) then we may finally reach herd. But it sounds like their plan is to manufacture variant specific so then I can see how it will be perpetuated indefinitely.

I don't understand why the virus would be pressured to find a more pathogenic form. Usually viruses evolve to be less toxic to the host as the longer the host lives the more opportunities to infect other people.
The Abs is not eliminating the virus but keeping it from developing into a severe disease.
Is this not the ideal state for the virus to be? Why are we assuming it wants to evolve to increase it's toxicity?
I have been looking for an answer to the paradox of the vaccinated not having as much severe illness for at least a year. Your article answered my quest in grand style.
