Liking this post feels wrong, but I'll like it anyway. I get that when I like it, I don't mean it literally, because this post is well-expressed but also totally shitty. That said, I feel you. For all the brains and commitment and determination I have, working for someone else has never made sense for me. I get little sense of satisfaction from it, and derive no personal value or worth from it--my job is a means to an end. It doesn't define me. So the point there is that you're not alone. My unsolicited advice (or did you ask for it?) is this: lean on people who will make you feel better, who will help you weather the potential depression storm, and who will offer you 5 or 10 milligrams, your choice, no judgment. Two other things: 1) that gym was awesome (you know what it did for me) and 2) don't walk to that Shaw's--it's a really depressing walk. I did it once. But if you do, stop by my house on the way home. It's on the way. Or just drive over any time you need to talk. Or not. Hang in there. I totally get all the angst and fear, but I'm a bit jealous too--I smell opportunity. You got this. You're one of the good guys.

Tom, I absolutely love your honesty. Your ability to put into words, the feelings that we all try to deny, is perfect.

Hey Sull, been a long time and kinda funny I have found you here. I’m enjoying the writing and crack up a few times through each one. This past note struck a chord and would love to catch up on old times and chat about the current one. - Ian 6468318462
