Nothing new under the sun. What I admire about these people is that they don't hesitate to re-use the worst methods of the past to achieve the same ends.
Here in the UK, very early on in March 2020, the Health Secretary Matt Hancock, quietly changed the law so that now only one (rather than two) doctors professional assent is required to section someone under our Mental Health Act.
My understanding is that his relatives sectioned him, which could still mean they considered his views as indicating illness simply because his views aren't the same as the TV's.
25 days is way to long to assess someone with no previous history and on the basis of a minority political opinion.

So grateful to Dr Nagane for mentioning that the wording of these provincial Mental Health Acts tends to be so vague as to allow anyone to find an excuse to have someone committed..once there, there’s no accountability. This should disturb every Canadian no matter what side of the Debate they happen to be on.

I was born at the hospital he is being held in and lived in the Whistler/Van area until I was 24. While the fact that the medical staff at Lion's Gate Hospital are engaging in this type of nefarious and criminal behavior is shocking to me, sadly it does not surprise me to hear the RCMP were involved (and continue to be involved) in criminal activities. I have personally witnessed and experienced first hand how the RCMP engage in some very disgusting acts of bullying and abuse in BC. I witnessed one incident where 3 large officers took down a peaceful protestor in van city with pepper spray, they smashed that 16 year old boy's teeth in with a baton (while he was fully restrained, being held down, in hand cuffs on the ground). Another time when I was walking home alone from the movie theater at night (in Whistler, BC) and an RCMP officer decided he wanted to search me without cause (threatening me by reaching for his holster when I asked what the reason was) he took 50$ in cash from my wallet, threw my wallet on the ground and walked away. I took these experiences as important lessons of what I never want to allow my self to become and strove to cultivate the opposite in my everyday actions (and to stand up to bullies when ever they appear).
I will strive to use my awareness of the unlawful and unethical confinement of Dr. Mel Bruchet to the same ends. Their attempt to use fascistic and insidious means to assault whistle blowers and strike fear into the awakening masses will only serve to show courageous and honorable people how important it is that we stand our ground. It will remind those with a heart how we must refuse to comply with their insane totalitarian rules and expose the criminality of this whole twisted covid charade.
Thank you again for bringing this to my attention. I also feel disgust in writing and thinking about it, but I will use this feeling as fuel remind me that we have to stand up and be brave enough to stop this now, before it gets even worse.. because (as Charles would say) The Rehearsal Is Over.

Of all the anti-social vested interest,the worst as we see it now is the vested interest in ll health to avoid to this trap is to prevent becoming patients, by changes in live lifestyle,diet,environment and our personal relationships.People are not healthy because they became sick and were made better,but because they didn't get sick in the first place.
