To investors, There was an article in the Financial Times recently that discussed market cycles, sell-offs, and investor risks. My friend Josh Wolfe from Lux Capital shared it on Twitter with a fairly sober warning that most young investors haven’t experienced a market downturn. Here is the article and the tweet:
How naive was that FT article? Like pomp said, I definitely felt the wrath of the 2007 housing market crash as my it split my family apart.
But the one thing that wasn’t mentioned was the 2000 tech bubble, and that left me in awe as a somewhat 12 year old. All these memories of market crashes and 4 year recoveries left me feeling mentally prepared as it’s the only thing I expect to be certain. Death, Taxes & Market Crashes.
I assume many people would see it the same, so no wonder everyone I know in crypto is against politicians, Wall Street greed and government incompetencies. Such inefficient systems have no room in our future.
"young folks" have also more tools available to them to break free... so, fuck yeah.
Great article! So truth!
