The thing is I don't know how many ways black people can show they want to live in peace. How many ways. It's not for black people to reach out to the police, the police are racist and they have "legal" power to abuse people, and they use that power. So defund the police, abolish them even, the few good ones can't seem to stop the "bad apples" and black people are routinely being abused and criminalised. Whatever happens, white people refuse to acknowledge the systemic racism they benefit from. Black people can no longer keep holding out white flags of peace. America is racist and violent, it enjoys being racist and violent, white people, it seems to me will never change. I really don't care what black people have to do as long as they get their rights and justice. I do agree with you fundamentally but the police seem to know where their bread is buttered and seem content with enabling the corruption and no black person is going to convince them otherwise, they'll just end up dead just like all the other peacemakers.
