Will Rogers, one of my favorites said, and it applies to Trumpublicans, "When you find yourself in a hole, quit digging". History will not look on the Republicans favorably, but the damage they are inflicting on our Republic will be with us much longer then their lies.
The Republican Party has clearly become 2 parties. Democrats also are not really a single party. It isn't unprecedented to see structural changes but sadly I don't think any time soon. Our current 2 party system has atrophied. Thanks for another thought provoking article Greg!
Unfortunately Greg, I'm afraid that you've captured the reality of the current situation among Republicans. It is definitely a cult that supports a mad man and his criminal behavior and a sad commentary on our congress to say nothing of our country. The only hope that I have right now is the investigation that is looking into trump's tax problems as well as whatever else gets exposed as his financial affairs get thoroughly examined. We can only hope that those expose's reach far enough into top Republican shenanigans that they too will face felony charges and ultimately indictment with prison terms, which if nothing more than remove those people from office thereby breaking the hold Repubs have in the senate and house, may also flip the sentiment of the constituency. Probably wishful thinking.
