Highlights

  1. Litmus has officially launched on Kusama and is now producing blocks!

Roll out plan will consist of 5 phases.

0 — Launch with Litmus genesis
1 — Technical verification & Crowdloan distribution
2 — Token migration
3 — Sudo removal
4 — Balance transfer activation
5 — Feature pallets onboard

We have now entered into Phase 0 — Launch with Litmus genesis, where Litmus end users will have limited functionality. The initial launch will only include the minimum viable functionality to keep the chain running. It means:

  • The parachain is running under the protection of a super-user (sudo pallet).
  • Most of the other pallets are deactivated, including governance, balance transfer and all other feature modules.
  • The users’ activities are very limited in this phase.

2. New video is out✨: Litentry DID Aggregation Infrastructure Explained. This video concisely explain what is Litentry protocol, the infrastructure layers and what values Litentry provides with an aggregated identity.

We’ve receiving a lot of questions from the very start of this project regarding what DID aggregation means, this video will help you understand in a more fundamental level with technical details.

Website

Litentr is revamping the litentry.com official website! Current progress:

  • Most of the components are fully built now across all of the website pages
  • The new site will some extra functionality for example users can subscribe to our marketing list. The user’s e-mail address goes directly into a dedicated website contact list within SendGrid.

Community

  • For the Litmus launch countdown party, we’ve invited guests from Kusama, Phala, Bifrost and Parallel to our discord channels to celebrate and answer questions from the community. Thank you to everyone who has joined. We’ve received questions regarding the Litmus Network and many of you have asked about whether there will be LIT Staking features in the Litmus Network. In the recent phases, there will be no staking features, but users will be able to use and receive LIT on the Drop3 pallet and transfer LIT to other networks using a token bridge.
