We are looking for a Head of Business Planning that will be accountable for the oversight of all critical change initiatives across our TM products and regions ensuring we deliver with excellence from strategy to execution in alignment with TM strategic priorities. This role will also lead and influence policy design, will partner with WFP and Finance partners to monitor workforce plans and budget process and will be a trusted advisor and player in leadership/board level reporting and presentations. He/she will be responsible for identifying risk and issues across the TM platform and identifying solutions that will enable the delivery of our TM strategic priorities.

This role is also responsible for identifying technology needs in partnership with other areas within the People Team (HRIS, Transformation) and defining a roadmap to bring the best solutions to deliver our TM needs.

The role reports to the SVP, Global Talent & Organization Capability and will be a key member of the Global Talent Management Leadership team.

Essential Functions:

  • Talent Management Strategic Planning and Execution – responsible for maintaining oversight of and accountability for, Central Program Management of Change Initiatives across all TM Products and Regions, working with Project Leads.
  • Operational Alignment: working closely with the TM Central functions (Talent Management, Organization Development, Career Development, Leadership Development& Governance) drives operational alignment with TM strategic priorities.
  • Acts as an advisor and provides support for Leadership/Board level reporting and monitoring of Risks and Issues across the TM platform.
  • Leads policy and procedures design and execution ensuring cross functional alignment and change management.
  • Work closely with other People functions including Transformation, HRIT/CIT, Visa University, TA teams to prioritize Book of Work.
  • Partner with Finance and HR WFP Lead to maintain TM Workforce Planning and Budget Processes.
  • Ensure TM thoroughly understand and comply with company policies, and pertinent operating manuals, practices etc.
  • Stays informed of the latest developments in the TM community, including any pertinent regulations affecting operations and influences change or new practices implementation.
  • Surveys industry sources for any potential ‘best in class’ processes or procedures that might benefit Visa.
  • Understand, document, and proposes new technology requirements across TM and liaise with People Technology team to ensure tech solutions are scaled appropriately, and delivered with quality and timeliness.
  • Oversight of TM Vendor Partner Relationships managing Quarterly Business Performance Reviews and Performance Scorecards with Vendor Relationship Owners

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in similar roles preferably managing high impact projects and transformations.
• Change & Project management experience is required.
• Excellent planning and organization skills and business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives. Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage issues to resolution.
• Expert skills in decision-making and building partnerships internally and externally
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills to effectively navigate a matrix management structure and ability to directly or indirectly manage/influence others within and outside their team.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate and build cross-functional relationships.
• Work with all levels within the organization and effectively interact with senior and executive management.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
