We’re hiring a Marketing Manager
We’re looking for a full-time Marketing Manager to join our Platform team. Our Marketing Manager will play a central role at Lerer Hippeau, where you’ll manage our firm’s public presence and digital footprint and support our portfolio companies. At Lerer Hippeau, we’re an inclusive and flat organization. We have a strong track record of promoting from within and helping those on our team grow in their roles at our firm. Lerer Hippeau is the most active early-stage venture capital fund in New York. The firm has more than 250 active portfolio companies with investments in leading consumer and enterprise companies, including Allbirds, Warby Parker, Guideline, Zipline, Axios, and K Health. Founded by a team of operators, the firm invests across all sectors, backing entrepreneurs with product vision, customer insight, and a keen instinct for brand building.
As our Marketing Manager you will:
- Develop and manage our content strategy, devise new ideas, write and edit original content for our blog
- Write our twice weekly newsletter and build the audience
- Oversee the firm’s PR and media strategy across events, TV, digital, etc.
- Run our social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Manage our website and continuously build out improvements
- Plan and co-run events for our founders, portfolio, and the general public
- Work closely with LH founders on their needs as they pertain to brand, content, PR, media strategy
About you:
- You have a minimum of three years of work experience in venture capital, tech, tech communications, or adjacent industry
- You are a strong writer and editor with a clear point of view who is able to develop and execute on new ideas
- You have a strong grasp of the startup and technology landscapes, particularly in New York
- You are able to work autonomously, problem solve, juggle a variety of tasks, and collaborate across stakeholders
- You have a passion for early-stage startups and technology trends
