Who We Are 

Our Total Rewards team is dedicated to ensuring our Tweeps (current and potential) feel valued. We are looking for a passionate Compensation leader to support our Global Sales organization. In this role, you will partner with the business to develop compensation solutions that help drive business outcomes and reward and engage our Tweeps. You will engage with our Finance, Legal and broader HR team to support this work.  You will draw from big picture thinking to deliver pragmatic and creative compensation designs that balance business and Tweep needs.

 

What You’ll Do

In partnership with the HR Business Partners and Sales organization leadership, you will develop and execute a global sales compensation strategy that helps drive profitable growth for Twitter while reinforcing our values. You will be the subject matter expert on all matters related to sales compensation including establishing principles that drive design, appropriate metric selection, development of payout curves, and setting appropriate targets, gates and thresholds, etc.  

  • Advise and educate Tweeps, Leaders, HRBPs and recruiters about our compensation philosophy (including base, variable and equity compensation) as well as cyclical and ad-hoc compensation programs. 

  • Develop and socialize all policies related to sales compensation and/or the sales organization.

  • When necessary develop and pilot exceptional sales programs to help drive short and/or long term objectives.

  • Create and deliver all sales compensation plan documents and annual sales compensation letters to Tweeps.

  • Proactively monitor internal and external trends, relevant pay legislation and competitive market intelligence, anticipating and navigating the potential impact to our pay philosophy and practices.

  • Lead our quarterly sales compensation review and provide insights to help drive profitable growth quarter over quarter.

  • Partner and collaborate closely with key team members in your client group to understand needs and prioritize accordingly. Provide compensation insights to support strategic decisions.

  • Lead cyclical compensation work including market benchmarking reviews, budget management, compensation planning, recognition programs, offer review, retention exercises, analyses, etc.

  • Demonstrate assertiveness, maturity, leadership, fortitude, creativity, influence, and the ability to be both strategic and executional.

Qualifications

  • Hands on work experience with designing, implementing and operating global sales compensation programs

  • Consulting background, with outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels within the organization

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth, dynamic business environment

  • Strong problem-solving, critical/analytical thinking abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, experience presenting analyses to management and ability to lead and drive initiatives

  • Knowledgeable of US and international regulatory pay requirements

  • Expert Excel skills, experience in Google Docs is a plus

  • Familiarity with Workday is a plus

  • Very little travel may be necessary

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience of compensation experience

  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent experience
