This role will primarily be based in our plant-filled, Brooklyn office. Our lab is fully stocked with the tools (and snacks) needed to make our pleasure tools. During builds in the product development cycle, you can expect to come in up to five days a week. Outside of builds, you are able to come to the office as little or as frequently as you need to facilitate your designs. We’re an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

You will:

  • Assist in the design and development of hardware products
  • Communicate with vendors regarding: sampling, quality assurance, DFM, etc.
  • Manage engineering side of quality control efforts
  • Provide engineering voice & perspective for PR, marketing, customer service efforts
  • Support customer service in assessing and responding to customer-reported product defects
  • Write technical product surveys
  • Interpret and implement user feedback from prototype testing
  • Share historical context for engineering decisions
  • Track product launch timeliness and product defect rate

You have:

  • 3-5 years of related experience 

  • Experience with enclosure design, mechanical troubleshooting, mechanical assembly and failure analysis and reduction
  • Brought at least 1 product to market (Ideally 3+)
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Skills in Solidworks CAD design
  • Design for Manufacturing mindset
  • Experience directly communicating with suppliers, domestic or overseas
  • Human factors/user interface design mindset

  • Confident using data to identify problems, patterns and know how to communicate findings effectively to a team
