NEWTON, Mass. - Junior Ryan O'Hanlon scored off a rebound from six yards out in the 105th minute to lift Holy Cross to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Boston College before 302 fans at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex on Tuesday night.

BC goalkeeper Chris Brown (three saves) made the initial save on freshman Tony Rosales' one-timer from inside the 18-yard box before O'Hanlon netted the rebound for the gamewinner at 104:32.

Freshman Jordan Michael sent a cross into the box that Rosales one-timed on net.

Holy Cross junior goalkeeper Thomas Booth made three saves in his sixth shutout performance of the season.

Host Boston College had several of its finest scoring opportunities in the overtime periods.

Just more than two minutes prior to the visitor's game-winning score, Mike Konicoff drew a foul deep in the Holy Cross end. Shawn Chin redirected a Conor Fitzpatrick free kick just over the crossbar.

In the initial 10-minute overtime period, Mario Uribe settled Chin's corner kick with his left foot, switched to his right and fired a shot just wide of the net.

BC (7-6-2) totaled a 5-3 edge in shots in 14:32 of sudden-victory play and a combined edge of 12-7 from halftime to the game's conclusion.

BC's Alejandro Bedoya nearly netted a goal in the 47th minute, but his head ball sailed high over the net.

Holy Cross (8-4-3) had its best scoring opportunity outside of the game-winning goal in the 65th minute when Kyle Miller missed an open net just wide left.

Both teams attempted five corner kicks in the match.

Next, Boston College hosts Clemson in a conference game set for Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. The game marks the final regular-season home contest for BC's 10-member senior class.

Game Notes: According to NCAA Ratings Percentage Index rankings released prior to kickoff on Tuesday, Oct. 28, Boston College is ranked No. 19 ... Tonight's loss marks the second straight season that the Eagles and Crusaders played to overtime. Last October, BC defeated Holy Cross 2-1 in Worcester, Mass.
