Job Description

Visa Direct is an exciting payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate Money Movement (funds transfers and disbursements) to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology.  Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person money transfer, person to micro-business (P2MB) transfer, marketplace payouts, gig economy participant payouts, funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claims, online gaming winnings) to money-in and money-out online brokerage and neo-bank use-cases and more.

The Senior Manager, Enabler Solutioning team is part of N.A. Visa Direct Product and is focused on building and optimizing a diverse Visa Direct enabler and originator ecosystem by powering Visa Direct payments through traditional and alternative enablement channels such as acquirers, processors, payment facilitators, software platforms, merchants, service providers and Fintech's. Our goals are to cultivate partnerships with these enablers and originators and help them grow and optimize their money movement offerings by providing solutions that include analytics and reporting, benchmarking and insight, technical platform enhancements, and identifying product enhancements and sharing best practices. We also support originator/merchant launches, scaling strategic use cases, collaborate with various Visa internal teams and regions, perform product solutioning, and drive end-to-end implementations for new enabler programs (and their clients) of Visa Direct money movement. We engage with strategically important enablers and originators that are critical to the success of Visa Direct.  The team is also responsible for exploring new and expanding existing use cases, supporting marquee clients, advising on go to market activities (where needed) and building partnerships internally and externally to grow and scale Visa Direct.

The Senior Manager – Enabler Solutioning role will be a key member of the team defining product strategy to expand Visa Direct money movement through traditional and non-traditional channels. This person will support key strategic initiatives within Visa Direct that include: Enabler Expansion: building and deploying a sell-through and optimization program model - by working with enablers and originators to close product gaps, supporting strategic merchant deployments and optimizing process barriers such as Visa rules. A special focus will be on owning analytics and reporting (e.g. authorization optimization, data integrity) across various Enablers and key Originators, partnering with the Client Success, Sales and Global Business Optimization teams on developing automated reporting and benchmarking, working with Enabler and Originator clients on bespoke reporting and analysis (e.g. authorization, trend and market analysis), management and ownership of the Enabler/Originator Playbook, and supporting management and sharing of the push-to-card (P2C) product roadmap (including supporting the development of functional specs for new products and features, readiness and tracking for client use)

Inherent to this team are sporadic and unplanned activities that support the strategic interests of the business. The Senior Manager – Enabler Solutioning will be tasked with evaluating market disruptions or trends and assisting with defining plans to address or compiling and analyzing data.  For example, as the competitive landscape evolves, we need to stay abreast of changes and opportunities and ultimately map out our strategy to maintain leadership positions. The Senior Manager – Enabler Solutioning will be an integral part of forming a point of view and helping develop our Enabler strategy to grow our engagements and business.

Key characteristics of the candidate include being comfortable working and engaging in a matrix organization, exceedingly self-motivated with a proactive attitude, and an innately inquisitive nature.  Visa is looking for an individual that is a thought leader in payments with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines. 

This is a critical position in the product organization reporting to the Senior Director – N.A. Enabler Solutioning and supporting the VP – N.A. Product Solutioning & Ecosystem team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be a single point of contact for originator and enabler data analytics and reporting and transforming that data into presentable findings to internal teams and with clients for the N.A. Originator Solutioning team
  • Establish authorization performance improvement analysis, own and manage originator/enabler data integrity and improvement strategies by collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize and grow send and receive side client’s transaction approval rates
  • Identify opportunities across key Enablers and Originators by analyzing VisaNet data to expand acceptance of Visa Direct transactions across all card types and money movement methods
  • Work closely with Client Success, Global Business Optimization, Account Management, data science, product platform and business intelligence teams in order to perform complex data analytics to help address client issues grow Visa Direct money movement adoption
  • Manage, maintain, analyze and optimize N.A. Visa Direct enabler and originator internal and external scorecards and portfolio reporting for executive and decision maker level reporting
  • Support management and sharing of the push-to-card (P2C) product roadmap (including supporting the development of functional specs for new products and features, readiness and tracking for client use)
  • Provide project management support (as needed) for enabler and originator program launches including tracking performance and reporting authorization data and trends
  • Possess or quickly develop subject matter expertise on the Visa Direct product, including platform expertise, market nuances, pricing economics, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional businesses including: product, technology, client services, sales, risk and compliance and client support in order to drive best-in-class client solutions and product offerings
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at various levels (including executive leadership)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Expert level PowerPoint and advanced level Excel skills
• Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills
• Critical thinker, strong organization skills, highly engaged and detail oriented
• Capacity to summarize findings from data, curiosity to deep dive on root cause of trends, and ensure highest level of quality/rigor in market analysis
• Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to challenges and opportunities
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities
• Obtain buy-in and proactively escalate issues at critical instances

Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Knowledge of payments, the payments ecosystem (financial institutions, acquirers, processors, fintechs, payfacs, etc.) is not required for this role, however, it is essential to bring curiosity about these topics and a desire to roll up your sleeves to help take open-ended and ambiguous areas of interest and help to bring clarity to the team
• Both written and oral communication skills are critical in this role. The role will require extensive collaboration with multiple cross functional teams and with clients
• Analytics modeling, data mining and use of Tableau
• Client service and/or relationship management experience (e.g. account management) is ideal, including working with payments ecosystem
• Product management experience with a focus on client solutions, functional specifications for new products and/or new feature development is ideal

Flex Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
