    Actor John Abraham on Monday said that he and his wife Priya Runchal have tested positive for the coronavirus after the actor came in contact with a Covid-positive person three days ago.
    Abraham took to his official Instagram handle to share the news with his over 9.8 million followers. The actor further informed that he and his wife are currently quarantined at home.

    The actor shared a note on his Instagram Stories which said that he had come in contact with a Covid-positive person three days ago, although he didn’t know at the time that the person was Covid-positive. As soon as he learned that the said person had been affected, he and wife got tested and were found to be Covid-positive as well. The couple is currently showing mild symptoms and are in self isolation at their Mumbai residence. They haven’t met anyone during this period.

    Meanwhile, on the work front, Abraham was last seen in ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, a sequel of 2018 hit by the same name, directed by Milap Zaveri. The film released in the theatres on November 25, and received a lukewarm response from the audience. The movie featured Abraham in a triple role, fighting corruption in Lucknow. The ‘Madras Cafe’ star will be next seen in the sci-fi action thriller ‘Attack’, scheduled to release in January 2022.

    Apart from Abraham, several other Bollywood celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor recently tested positive for Covid in Mumbai as the virus cases surged in Maharashtra. Director Rahul Rawail, known for the 1985 hit, ‘Betaab’, also tested positive on January 2. Apart from him, actresses Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shirodkar also took to their social media handles to share the news that they have tested positive for Covid-19 last week.
