There are huge spoilers for the Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That…, ahead! Proceed with caution….

Everyone is still reeling from Mr. Big’s death during the premiere of Sex and the City’s revival, And Just Like That…—or, like, at least people who don’t lurk on gossip accounts are reeling, ’cause the rest of us kinda-sorta-maybe saw this coming. Either way, the passing of Mr. Big was a shocking way to start the season—especially since he died due to a heart attack after riding his Peloton bike.

Which…yeah…not a great moment for Peloton, which was the subject of some Twitter backlash despite this entire thing being, you know, fiction.

And now the brand is out here giving a statement on the death of Mr. Big:

“I’m sure SATC fans, like me, are saddened by the news that Mr. Big dies of a heart attack. Mr. Big lived what many would call an extravagant lifestyle—including cocktails, cigars, and big steaks—and was at serious risk as he had a previous cardiac event in season 6,” the company said in a statement to Us Weekly from cardiologist Suzanne Steinbaum, DO, a member of Peloton’s Health & Wellness Advisory Council. “These lifestyle choices and perhaps even his family history, which often is a significant factor, were the likely cause of his death. Riding his Peloton bike may have even helped delay his cardiac event.”

The statement also noted that “while 25 percent of heart attacks each year are in patients who already had one (like Mr. Big), even then they are very, very treatable. It’s always important to talk to your doctor, get tested, and have a healthy prevention strategy. The good news is Peloton helps you track heart rate while you ride, so you can do it safely.”

RIP to Mr. Big, still not sure why Carrie didn’t call 911 for you, but!
