Senior Finance Systems Analyst - Revenue

Twitter’s Finance Systems Team is searching for an energetic, motivated and proactive Senior Analyst to join the team! The candidate will support critical priorities for Twitter Finance with an emphasis on Finance systems (Including Oracle, Vertica, Salesforce and Apttus). The candidate will be involved with initiatives of all sizes including enhancements and projects.

They will work with business and IT Engineering to understand business processes, system environments and system issues that arise. The candidate will also be engaged in end to end project life cycles including, but not limited to, requirement gathering, process mapping,  stakeholder alignment, timeline tracking, solution reviews, UAT, deployment and change management coordination.

Job Description

Drawing from your robust business acumen and functional system knowledge, you will work with a diverse team to manage system impacting initiatives from concept to implementation. You will handle multiple initiatives in a fast paced environment while communicating effectively to stakeholders along the way. You facilitate decision making with stakeholders and are comfortable diving into details without losing sight of overall objectives. You help steer initiatives to the best outcomes. You think critically, plan and execute effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and IT Engineering.

You act as a trusted partner and a respectful challenger. You must be a strategic thinker while having the proven ability to work well with large organizations, ensuring consistency across departments and regions. The ideal candidate has a strong Finance business acumen and a functional expertise with Finance systems across the Revenue space. Lastly, experience with finance operations, project management and Revenue subject matter is highly beneficial for this role.

Some specific activities include:

  • Drive and support Finance projects of all sizes, and support the intake process and prioritization

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business and engineering departments, act as the bridge between them

  • Shepherd initiatives end to end, ensuring stakeholder alignment along the way

  • Collaborate with Finance to define and gather business requirements, ensuring you understand key requirement details and underlying processes

  • Understand how project requirements or solution designs fit into the long term vision for Twitter Finance

  • Drive and review IT engineering solution designs with business stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope and strategy of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Drive end to end UATs ensuring quality and clarity

  • Assess prioritization of and capacity for initiatives with stakeholders. Strive to meet defined timelines and communicate issues

  • Perform daily operational activities on projects and enhancements, including monitoring resource needs, preparing documentations including process flow, status reports, key issues and/or change controls

  • Creates and executes test cases for regression / end user testing; Interfaces with the engineering team to validate test results for new features/applications, verifying that they meet the requirements of the business group before facilitating UAT and deployment

  • Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, schedule and quality on projects

  • Engage and participate in System / Product selection & evaluation

  • Support the overall health of finance systems at Twitter through system issue tracking and cross-functional alignment

Qualifications

  • 4 - 6 years relevant business systems analyst, Finance/Accounting Operations and Project Management experience within Finance or Tech

  • Experience with system change initiatives. Able to understand IT and business perspectives

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skill

  • Strong Finance operational system knowledge (e.g. Oracle, Salesforce and Apttus)

  • Experience using Database reporting tools (CloudIO, Vertica and Google Cloud)

  • Experience with Global Finance operations and project management including:

    • business process mapping

    • requirement gathering

    • Project scoping and timeline tracking

    • User acceptance testing (UAT)

    • Deployment and change management activities

  • Proven track record in achieving high performance from internal and external teams

  • Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to adapt communication to stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong ability to develop clear and concise documentation and presentation material to facilitate discussions / decisions with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strategic thinking, understand the intention and purpose of every task and decision to be made

  • Investigative and curious mindset, you seek to understand details and use that knowledge to drive best outcomes

  • Strong driver and able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of using Google Suite, Microsoft Project, Lucidchart and JIRA

  • Attributes considered to be a plus:

    • Experience with Robotic Process Automation tools

    • Experience within Advertising or Media technology companies

    • Knowledge of SQL, JQL, and/or Python a plus

Education:

  • BS in business, finance, computer science or related fields 

  • PMP Certification a plus

  • MBA a plus
