Mindlogz (https://www.mindlogz.com) is still in launch phase, but we got our first subscriber this past week.
Here's how it happened.
I spent some time putting together an application on BetaList. I didn't have high expectations.
At best, I thought I'd get a handful of users to test the product. I had done previous tests with a few friends and family, so this test would better.
And that expectation came true. We've had 40 or so sign ups from BetaList.
Then, something amazing happened.
Someone subscribed after their trial ended. And they're actively using the product.
That makes me happy. Much like me, someone found writing with Mindlogz to be valuable.
That's one learning I encourage indie hackers to take. Try not to have overly ambitious expectations.
Just know that whatever you do, it's going to take time. Build for the journey - not a singular event.
Getting a subscriber is a great feeling. It has certainly given me a jolt of motivation. However, it's not the end. There's more to be done.
Time to get back to building. Time to get back to marketing.
This is great! Congratulations on the early momentum! 👍
I like your take on
"Just know that whatever you do, it's going to take time. Build for the journey - not a singular event."
Wishing you an awesome success! 🚀
