TL;DR

  • As of the November 3rd Ecosystem Update, RFP status updates have been included, however, they are limited to outlining the status, not the contents.
  • This post will provide a high-level description of each RFP submitted, as well as the Proposals open currently.
  • RFP requests can be submitted by any community member following these guidelines. If you have never drafted a proposal before, start here.

Ongoing and Requested Proposals

For the RFP to be implemented, first it requires approval, and then it becomes a proposal. The main difference between an RFP and a proposal is that there is a due date and a development budget included.

It is important to note that although Requested Proposals have been submitted, and are available within the RFP Repo, they are not certain to be developed, and if they are, there is no established deadline, until a proposal including this information is merged.

Follow-up

After this summary covering the proposals and requests currently active, better details will be provided for the ongoing RFP’s and PR’s as part of the SORA Ecosystem Updates. The goal of this summary is to provide the community with an easy-to-digest insight on the current proposals, as well as the RFP submitted from the beginning of the program that may not have been explained to the general public and to help users with different levels of technological prowess, or users that do not have access to or are not comfortable with Github.

If you liked what you saw in the summary, consider giving the proposal a thumbs-up 👍 or loveheart ❤️ to show your support, otherwise, if you have any feedback or reservations on a proposal, consider leaving a comment within the PR, as comments to this article will have no effect in addressing a particular proposal or RFP.

To see all the RFP proposed, look here. To see the RFP that have passed the proposal process and are currently being worked on, you can find those here. Finally, if you want to make a proposal of your own, the RFP Guidelines are available here, a beginner’s guide to RFP is available here, or how to participate in the SORA Builders Programme is available here.
