Automata Achieves First Milestone under Substrate Builders Program
We are tremendously excited to announce that Automata Network has successfully completed its first milestone after being accepted into the Substrate Builders Program! An initiative by Parity to support builders in the Substrate ecosystem, unlocking our first badge is a culmination of months of hard work of everyone involved in the team.
Teams accepted into the Substrate Builders Program benefit from Parity’s support in various aspects of building, receiving assistance on the project’s technical and community roadmap, along the way defining realistic milestones to set up for success.

The list of goals we’ve completed to hit our first milestone:
- Launched ContextFree, a full-fledged canary network. Rollout of features as planned with the release of Automata’s public roadmap
- Constructed cross-chain token bridge between ERC20 token on EVM-based network and native token on Substrate-based canary network
- Implementation of supplementary services and integrations for ContextFree. This includes a blockchain dashboard, token faucet, SS58 Prefix integration in Paritytech/Substrate repository, and introduction of FiniteState, an experimental testnet for features testing and upgrades prior to deployment on the Canary Network
- Addition of pallets for Geode Execution Environment. Features include basic management logics for Attestor, Geode and Service, basic attestation service, liveness monitoring, service scheduling and dispatching
- Incorporation of Non-STD Rust Substrate client in Geode to communicate with Substrate-based chain by HTTP request and Websocket subscription
We’re already looking forward to Milestone 2, and have started ticking off the checklist with the momentous launch of the Automata Mainnet as one of the target deliverables.
