The TPM team at Twitter leads cross-functional delivery of strategic technical initiatives across the company. TPM at Twitter is a centralized team, staffing a diverse bench of industry leaders working across all orgs in the company. 

The Twitter Data Platform organization provides solutions and tooling to Twitter data practitioners for data generation, consumption, and management to easily integrate data into customer experiences and extract meaningful insights that inform Twitter’s strategy. We build and operate technologies for data storage, management, and processing at scale. We own the full data processing and operations stack including compute, data management, and offline storage infrastructure, abstraction libraries and services, core metrics and application services. 

As Data Platform TPM in this role, you will drive execution and delivery of Twitter's Data Platform strategy and lead the highest priority initiatives that enable customers to access, manage, process, engineer, and explore data with first class technologies and support.

What You'll Do 

• Lead technical delivery of company-wide initiatives in support of Twitter’s Data Platform strategy

• Partner with all program stakeholders and lead execution from strategic objective to delivery

• Identify gaps / areas of risk, and build solutions / mitigation plans to increase the robustness of the platform

• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Researchers, Scientists, Tech Leads, and Strategy & Operations to ensure teams meet their schedule targets by implementing industry best practices in program and project management and roadmap delivery, creating novel solutions where appropriate 

• Partner with leadership and technical leads to deliver solutions that meet engineering and business requirements 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science / engineering, or equivalent work experience

• 10+ years as a TPM or in related discipline: engineering leader or product manager (technical domain)

• Experience working with several different development methodologies and productivity tools

• Consistent track record of shipping products at scale, with broad customer impact

• Experience building or managing work on highly-available, scalable software products and services

• Proven ability to identify and resolve systemic issues in both software and people systems

• Interest and capacity to mentor TPMs and champion growth

• Passionate interest in Twitter’s products and mission, and about the role data tools and infrastructure could play towards advancing them

• Prior experience driving execution of data related projects preferred

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$191,000.00 - USD$267,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
