The Business Intelligence team within Health Data Science is responsible for providing Health executive team, product, services, and engineering with timely, accurate and actionable information about the state of Twitter platform health across multiple areas. You will be working on figuring out what matters the most to our users and develop data and reporting solutions to keep the teams informed. In this role, you will develop, own and drive the improvement of several critical reporting assets, such as metrics, data visualizations, dashboards and regular business insights. You will also partner with our central strategy data science group to understand and analyze how Health affects Twitter growth. This is a high visibility, high impact role with a great deal of opportunity to influence the direction of the company.

 

What will you do?

  • Build out reports and dashboards to measure performance of Health organization

  • Own data requirements and metrics for your business area

  • Analyze data and trends to inform business decisions. 

  • Translate findings from analysis to actionable insights and business implications. Being able to express the data to product teams and leadership teams across a broader organization to make decisions is key!

  • Develop expertise in various drivers of Twitter Health, understand the problem area, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement

  • Measure relationship between Health initiatives and the impact on topline user metrics like mDAU 

  • Work with Twitter research teams to understand how platform Health influences user’s decision to hire Twitter  

  • Work in tandem with DS and engineering in defining new metrics, writing complex data flows using multiple languages/frameworks such as SQL, Python; and using data visualization tools

  • Maintain and enforce high standards of rigor in data analysis

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative or analytical role

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Previous experience working with a BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Mode, Data Studio, etc.)

  • Strong communication and data visualization skills

  • Previous experience with ETL and building data pipelines preferred

  • Proven track record of using data, insights, and analyses to impact business decisions
