Imbue Completes Web3 Grant — Final Milestone Complete
Imbuers, we’ve reached yet another milestone in our mission to decentralize crowdfunding for Web3. Over the last 2 months, we’ve gone through rigorous testing and inspection by the Web3 Foundation in stage 2 of preparation of our public Testnet.
In this last round, we made several major strides for a public-facing MVP. We have officially passed the final milestone of our W3F Application. This is an exciting achievement as it allows us a great amount of flexibility and certainty as a team building our product.
About the Web3 Foundation
For those who may be new to the Dotsama space, the Web3 Foundation supports projects that are building on Polkadot and Kusama with funding and consultation. Their goal is to empower ideas that are well thought out and add value to the Dotsama ecosystem and blockchain as a whole.
In their support, they go through a tremendous amount of due diligence on the project, team, their credibility, credentials, and ability to execute.

For those who are not developers, here are the details in more user-friendly rhetoric:
- Further dApp enhancements. The core functionality of our chain is possible through the UI. Along with this, we received great feedback on the UX — specifically in cases of insufficient funds.
- Democracy Pallet. This deliverable involves using a Substrate module for voting in our specific use-case. In the public-facing MVP, votes on milestones can be made by any contributors of the funding round. Votes will count in accordance to their contribution.
- Funding Pallet. This deliverable involves creating a funding module for Initiators and Contributors, allowing them to send and receive funds, validated by the blockchain. W3F has verified that funding is released based on completed milestones voted on by Contributors.
- All of our pallet tests succeeded after highly valuable feedback from the W3F team.
As you can probably tell, these milestones are critical to our launch of the Imbue platform. With a successful inspection (from W3F) and all promises of initial funding fulfilled, there are no further milestones to complete.
At Imbue, we will continue to strive until there is a decentralized alternative to VCs and crowdfunding. And these grant milestones are just the next steps to achieving that mission.
