About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking to hire our first Investment Associate to work within the private investing arm of DCG's newest subsidiary. The new subsidiary remains in stealth mode, but will be working with the world's leading crypto, blockchain, and DeFi entrepreneurs and investors.

As a member of the founding investing team, you will work with a group of talented individuals to contribute to the development and execution of multiple fund strategies including a liquidity vehicle, fund of funds, and direct venture capital and private equity investing. In this role you will be involved in the creation and implementation of fund due diligence processes, from gathering and mapping best practices and designing investment memos to identifying and evaluating investment opportunities as an integral part of the deal team. Your role will be central to providing managers and stakeholders with the information they need to make investment decisions.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Work directly with a cross functional team to support:
• Liquidity Vehicles:
• Perform due diligence including fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling, financial and operational analysis, transaction structuring, and industry research on prospective debt investments
• Prepare investment memos for and participate in investment committee discussions
• Understand key credit documentation and economic/legal structure
• Support transaction and closing processes
• Fund of Funds and Direct Venture Investments:
• Perform due diligence
• Prepare investment memos for and participate in investment committee discussions
• Industry and competitive analysis
• Monitor portfolio investments, including performance tracking, market research, and searching for new opportunities
• Managing analysts and interns
• Assist in marketing efforts
  
  

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital
• Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving capabilities
• Private debt and/or fund of funds investing experience and prior completion of a formal credit training program is preferred
• Effective writing and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and good judgment
• Ability to work both independently and on a fast-paced team
• A desire to work in a start-up team environment
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in digital assets/distributed networks and how they will reshape global finance
