    I’ve never used a full pad before. But it is very popular on YouTube home offices. I didn’t want to spend over a $100 to just “try” something. I picked this one for under $30 and I have no regrets. I use this with a full size keyboard, wrist rest, 3D spaceball and left-handed vertical mouse. Plenty of room to move the mouse. My desk measures 71 inches by 29 inches. And this mat fits perfectly. I ordered the Lt Gray to go with my White Oak table top, stained with Minwax Gunstock color stain, and hand rubbed Poly Oil. It’s a beautiful combination.

    I love how large the desk mat is - it covers a significant area of my desk and is more than big enough for my keyboard and mouse. It's also quite stylish and clean looking, but unfortunately I think it falls short in functionality. It's not very comfortable at all. It's coarse and itchy, and I struggled to get through a full day of work using it. Also, due to the fibrous nature of the pad, any little imperfection on my mouse would catch on the threads, throwing off my mouse movement and actually causing the fibers to pull up and out of the mat. It was not a smooth experience for gaming at all.

    As much as I liked the look, I ended up returning it and going with something more comfortable and practical.
