About our Engineering Team

As a member of Foursquare’s engineering team, you will gain experience building real products from the ground up. We're passionate about tackling tough challenges in the location space and look for others who like to dive deep into code and help solve hard problems.

Join us and help bring our feature ideas (and your own!) out of Slack and into reality. Here are some high-level areas you could contribute to:

• Improve the interactions between multiple cross functional stakeholders and engineering teams
• Leverage management tools to increase visibility into areas ripe for growth
• Observe and participate in Scrum teams
• Maintain and track all open issues across multiple projects
• Take part in the launch of new products and features to our customers
• Participate in the interactions with Product, Design, Marketing, and Launch teams to ensure full delivery across the lifecycle of a project, from beginning to end
• Analyzing the internal and external processes of our business to continuously improve our productivity

Qualifications

• Currently, a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field
• Solid foundation in office productivity applications (Gsuite or Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with Interest in growing their business analytics and program management skills.
• Familiarity working among a team
• Experience taking a leadership role
• Quick learner, able to learn new applications; e.g. build a dashboard leveraging Atlassian tools (Jira)

Bonus points for any of the following

• Industry experience
• Knowledgeable of the difference in SDLCs; Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban
• Marketing and Advertising
• Big Data
• Statistics and data analysis skills
• Prior work experience, internships or side projects.
