Bio

Mark Helfman is a Medium top writer for bitcoin and investing topics and publisher of the Crypto Is Easy newsletter.

He contributes his works to Hacker Noon, Luckbox, Cryptowriter, CCN, The Startup, Blockchain News, Data-Driven Investor, The Innovation, The Capital, and several other publications. Formerly, he ranked among the most-viewed cryptocurrency writers on Quora (and will reclaim his status at a time of his choosing).

Catch him on these outlets:

His first book, Consensusland, explores the social, cultural, and financial challenges of a fictional country that runs on cryptocurrency.

His second book, Bitcoin or Bust: Wall Street’s Entry Into Cryptocurrency, hit #2 on Amazon’s list of short financial reads and ranks #50 on BookAuthority’s top cryptocurrency books of all time. It offers a candid and cautionary view of how traditional finance will change cryptocurrency (and how cryptocurrency will change traditional finance).

His third book, From Bust to Boom: Ten Months Through the Eyes of a Bitcoiner, chronicles his observations and commentary on bitcoin’s March 2020 crash and subsequent 1,000% rise.

Previously, Mark worked in U.S. Congress and later for the government relations team of a Fortune 500 company. He also consulted for several technology entrepreneurs and won the Jay Buckey Award for his public service to the US government.

His insights on cryptocurrency reflect his understanding of history, politics, and economics and his experience in government, real estate, business, and private equity. He tries to keep it simple when he writes. It’s cryptocurrency. Relax and enjoy the ride!
