Hey, thanks for your interest in joining Envision as part of the venture operations team! This is a paid position.

WHAT IS ENVISION?

Envision is a virtual startup accelerator for womxn + people of color who are currently in college or recent graduates, with the goal of diversifying the entrepreneurship and venture worlds. Our first cohort is currently running (July 6 - August 30) and includes weekly talks, office hours, and workshops from industry leaders and investors such as Arlan Hamilton and Ryan Hoover. Our second cohort is scheduled to run this Fall!

Envision does NOT take any equity in the startups that apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

We are looking for applicants with the following characteristics:

• You are familiar with the venture space and are plugged into VC networks/the startup ecosystem.
• You are a college or MBA student
• You can dedicate at least 20+ hours per week for the 2020-2021 school year (which might mean that you are planning to take a gap year right now!)
• You are passionate about empowering the next generation of founders and believe in the importance of diversity.
• You love working with others and are a clear communicator.
• You are self-directed, take initiative, and enjoy working in a fast-paced startup-y environment

We believe that the best teams are comprised of people from different backgrounds and experiences who challenge each other’s assumptions with fresh perspectives. To that end, Envision actively seeks a diverse pool of applicants.

YOU WILL:

• Support our next cohort of companies in our fall/winter program by planning programming such as AMAs, workshops, and office hours, meaning you are in close contact with all of our world class speakers, mentors, and investors
• Work closely with our companies and support them on all of their needs (connecting them with relevant mentors from the Envision network, work on pitch deck reviews, host virtual white boarding sessions, etc.)
• Share resources with our founders based on the weekly theme
• Assist with the coordination of our investor days and preparing our companies who are fundraising
• Collaborate with Envision partners, so we can boost diversity in the venture ecosystem as a whole

TIMELINE

Ideal start date is end of August! The position will last at least until December, with the possibility of extending the role.
