Evernow is a company focused on helping women live longer, healthier and easier lives. Since its inception in 2019, Evernow has been working to leverage the power of telemedicine and advances in science to reach women over 40 who are in need of perimenopause and menopause care offering a free assessment for women experiencing symptoms who want to explore symptom relief. Evernow doctors work with women to create custom treatment plans that will provide relief for that woman’s individual symptoms.

More than 55 million women in the U.S. are experiencing menopause symptoms, but 75% of those who seek care don’t get it. We’re building Evernow to close this gap while elevating care. Our doctors provide expert, convenient treatments based on the latest research. Our product team builds the platform that allows us to deliver a new kind of experience. With prescription delivery and unlimited access to communication with our health team, our customers get excellent, personalized, life-changing care.

At Evernow, we are constantly seeking to understand how we can provide products, support and services for women over 40 to live healthier lives. We’ve only just begun with menopause symptom relief. There is so much more to do.

The Project (6-8 weeks, with potential to extend)

The project is to partner with Evernow marketing and product teams to help us come up with business opportunities to better serve women over 40.

Every woman will go through menopause. It will affect her health, her longevity, and her life. Yet this is one of the most overlooked areas of women’s health. To help move the science forward and to better understand the lived experience of menopause, we surveyed women at all stages of the journey.

Evernow has more than 100,000 clinically validated health profiles and a subset of thousands of patients who we are following longitudinally to learn from and support. To our knowledge, this is also the largest cohort study looking at the type and severity of symptoms by ethnicity.

We also spoke to hundreds of women 40-65 to develop baseline category insights including audience segmentation, usage and attitudes. The goal of this quantitative research is to identify actionable market opportunities, specifically the menopause market segments and which symptoms or needs drive people to seek help.

What You'll Do

Develop baseline category insights including audience segmentation, usage and attitudes.

  • Identify broad category insights, E.g. health issues and needs of women 40+, the 10-20 year menopause journey and what it entails, hunger for information, or nascent category (lack of menopause awareness, unfamiliarity with stages, low brand awareness or experience, unfamiliar with common treatments, etc), other.
  • Identify the different audience segments who make up this category. What distinguishes one from another, usage and attitude profiles for each including things like awareness of menopause and its symptoms, experience with symptoms and treatments, etc. Include demographic/generational learning or profiling. For instance, a 60 year old and a 40 year old are almost a generation apart and so would express themselves differently and have different cultural touch points and expectations.

Identify immediately actionable market opportunities, specifically the menopause market segments and which symptoms or needs drive people to seek help.

  • What are the needs for each segment? How current (and which) needs are being met for each segment? Which are unmet needs and how are these opportunities for Evernow? We anticipate that there are multiple opportunities, possibly across multiple segments.
  • How motivated are various audience segments? What motivates them and why? How likely are they to act? Have they previously demonstrated an interest or acted (e.g. trying different treatments)? If not, what are barriers to trial and does the research reveal anything that might allow EN to more effectively address these barriers?

Recommend products, services and content for women throughout the menopause journey, based on the insights gleaned in mining research. There is potential to review new concepts in qualitative research during the internship.
