Joyce Reynolds-Ward is a speculative fiction writer who splits her time between Enterprise and Portland, Oregon. Her short stories have appeared in Well…It’s Your Cow, Children of a Different Sky, Steam. And Dragons, Allegory, River, and Fantasy Scroll Magazine, among others. This family saga reminded me of stories written by Jackie Collins and Jilly Cooper, but with futuristic tech. Although I found the large number of characters introduced at the beginning confusing, I was able to work out how they tied together and understand the dynamics between them. The relationship between Justine and Donald was very sweet.

The technology Reynolds-Ward created was fascinating, and I enjoyed this intriguing, near-future thriller.
