Internship Information

M1 internships last 12 weeks. All internships are paid hourly. In the current climate, our internships will be conducted remotely, like the rest of our team and most of your internship will be done via Zoom. We will supply your equipment and you will have virtual opportunities to network and learn about M1, the finance industry, and the technology industry.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful, and customer-centric marketer to join our team for the summer. This individual will help to support driving the execution of marketing campaigns for our M1 Spend products, Checking & the Owner's Rewards Credit Card.

Our ideal candidate is a Swiss-army-knife customer growth marketer – a data-driven performance marketer, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a strong understanding of the customer lifecycle journey & core principles of marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Drive end to end campaign execution for spend marketing programs for checking & credit card products.
  • Build campaign plans, develop creative briefs, and manage submission of all related request forms as a part of the marketing campaign process.
  • Monitor project progress, track status of initiatives and give regular status updates in Asana.
  • Work closely with Marketing channel teams, Promotion Operations/Martech and shared services such as Creative, Messaging, Compliance to ensure marketing plans are executed.
  • Build out Spend Marketing Confluence Wiki Pages for Spend Checking and Credit Card.
  • Document processes, best practices, and learnings, build decks, performance reports and update weekly business review metrics.
  • Work with analytics to get new campaign tracking metrics added to a dashboard in Tableau.
  • Work to develop a creative library with samples of our own marketing assets, as well as competitor samples.
  • Work with Marketing Finance to scope out the impact & budget of upcoming spend initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
  • Curious thinker who is self-motivated and growth minded.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator.
  • General knowledge of core marketing principles or desire to learn.
  • Experience and understanding of finance or the finance industry is a plus.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.
