About Ritual

Based in sunny Los Angeles, Ritual is a direct-to-consumer health brand that believes it’s crucial to know not just what you’re putting into your body, but why you need it in the first place.

We’re transparent about our ingredients, where they're sourced from, and have spent years conducting extensive research behind each of the premium nutrient forms we use. Our products are simple, effective, and backed by science. Our mission is simple: to empower people to feel their best by turning healthy habits into a ritual.

We have built a team of curious skeptics, world-class scientists, unconventional artists, expert marketers and analytical strategists that are on a mission to reinvent an entire industry. We’re well-funded, growing quickly, and committed to our mission. If you’re a team player who refuses to settle for the status quo, we want you. Welcome to your new daily Ritual.

Location: Culver City, CA

Timing: 8 weeks between the months of June through August

Essential

Ritual is looking for a detail and data oriented intern to support a growing Impact team. This internship will focus on conducting critical Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for packaging to help inform future packaging selection and development. In addition, this role will partner with Regulatory Affairs to support documentation related to ingredients, their country of origin, and Ritual's commitment to traceable ingredients.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments using COMPASS, to better understand sustainability tradeoffs for existing and future products
  • Synthesize LCA data for leadership and build decks to help showcase learnings with the broader organization
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs in critical data collection around ingredient sourcing and country of origin
  • Meet with key ingredient suppliers and request documentation that will help advance Ritual's storytelling around traceable ingredients

Who You Are

  • Detail oriented. Comfortable managing and organizing data in spreadsheets, you're detail oriented and like to be precise.
  • Independent. Able to work well independently once assigned a clear task.
  • Communicator. You can build relationships with other team members and have the curiosity to ask follow up questions if you don't understand or need more information.
  • Analytical. You're informed by data. You understand how to utilize qualitative information to support impactful decisions.

What You Need

  • Education: Background in sustainability or supply chain management. This role will use spreadsheets to organize data and results. Experience using Life Cycle Assessment software is a plus, but not a requirement if you have the ability to quickly learn software that requires data inputs.
