Founded in 2016 with offices in Los Angeles and New York, M13 invests in and incubates consumer tech companies by pairing early-stage founders with experienced full-time operating partners in strategic areas such as brand, talent, data, and operations to enable better day-to-day decisions.

We are seeking an MBA Intern to work alongside M13’s Propulsion team and their stakeholders to help optimize the experience and value of the propulsion platform for our portfolio company founders and their teams. The Propulsion team brings extensive operational knowledge and experience from a range of key growth functions such as Operations, Data, Finance, Business Strategy, Brand, Comms, and Talent Strategy.

This internship program will run from Monday, June 20th through Friday, August 12th, 2022.

While our preference is to have this intern work from our LA office where most of the Propulsion team are based, however, we are open to having someone work from our NY office.

As The Propulsion MBA Intern You Will

• Assist the Propulsion team in optimizing the experience and value of the propulsion platform to portfolio companies.
• Execute against our propulsion program vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with our overall M13 business goals meets founder and community needs and contributes to achieving key performance metrics for our founders - helping our portfolio companies in the areas we provide services (talent, go to market, comms & brand, finance, data, etc.)
• Learn how to identify gaps in our knowledge base and work to fill those gaps by reaching across the landscape to find best practices and improve our processes; recommend and implement improvements and features
• Work closely across the M13 teams on related initiatives and objectives to support founders
• Lead specific workstreams that will have a tangible impact on our portfolio and founders

• Enrolled in MBA program and interested in venture capital and portfolio management
• Enthusiastic about consumer tech and supporting founding teams at start-ups that are redefining their respective verticals
• Operationally focused, great at juggling different projects and processes, making things run efficiently
• Curious, analytical with a continuous improvement mindset
• Data-driven, experimental, and interested in customer research
• A self-starter and equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively
