Ecosystem Update— March 2022
We always aimed to be a community-owned and 100% transparent project. One part is our open-source code. The other is launching 100% decentralized from day 1. But most importantly, we want to make sure you know what is happening in terms of progress and development.
Highlight 1: KINT Staking has launched.
You can now stake your KINT on kintsugi.interlay.io/staking . Over 54,000 KINT have been staked in the first few days. Make sure to check out the staking guide!
Highlight 2: Interlay is live as a parachain on Polkadot
After winning the slot #10 auction the Interlay parachain successfully launched on Polkadot on 11 March. We’ve announced the public and live launch roadmap for you to follow here.
Highlight 3: XCM channel opened between Kintsugi and Karura
After the XCM channel with Moonriver, you can now move any Kintsugi assets to Karura and use them in DeFi applications there. Learn about KINT and kBTC use cases on Karura here.
Highlight 4: KINT pools on Zenlink and Karura
The following pools have launched:
- KINT/MOVR pool on Zenlink (live) with ~$240 liquidity. This pool is being incentivized.
- KINT/kUSD pool on Karura (bootstrapping). Once live, this pool will be incentivized.
Other updates:
- Kintsugi testnet contest completed. After a week of testing, we’ve announced all winners of the Kintsugi testnet challenge, airdropping 560 KINT to winners + 5 kINT to each participant who did not win!
- Staking workshop. We hosted a staking workshop — explaining how staking works and how it’s different to e.g. Polkadot staking. Vidoe is live on YouTube.
- Monthly AMAs are back. Once a month, we’ll answer community questions and invite guests to talk about new integrations and interesting events in the crypto community.
