Job Description

The Linux Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and innovative UX Designer to join our Product Design team. Become part of a team of dedicated UX Designers that provide innovative solutions for The Linux Foundation’s suite of LFX products. These products include analytics, management, crowdfunding, online learning, and more. Our web applications are responsive so you will have the opportunity to provide UX designs for desktop and mobile devices. This is a full time remote position where you will collaborate with fellow team members around the world.

 

  • Creates innovative solutions for a wide variety of product design challenges, including mobile and desktop.

  • Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.

  • Develops ux flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

  • Presents design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.

  • Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research.

  • Contributes to the group’s shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Fluency in best practices for web-based user experience design

  • Understanding of the Design Thinking process

  • Experience in a Agile/scrum environment

  • Ability to receive constructive feedback

  • Excited about working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, working directly with developers for implementation of designs

 

Education / Experience

  • Degree in User Experience Design or equivalent

  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions

  • Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Axure UX Prototyping Tool

  • Experience designing for mobile and desktop
