Figma's Series E

Dylan FieldCo-founder & Chief Executive Officer, Figma

We have closed a new round of funding led by Durable Capital Partners, along with new investors like Morgan Stanley's Counterpoint Global.

I sent the email below to the Figma team earlier today, ahead of FigNation (Figma’s weekly company all-hands). Since we’ve always shared news like this with the Figma Community, we’re publishing the email here too.

Figmates,

We will talk much more at FigNation today, but I wanted to share the news with you all that we’ve closed a new round of funding led by Durable Capital Partners along with new investors like Counterpoint Global (Morgan Stanley). I’m grateful that many of our previous investors—Index, Greylock, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, and a16z—also participated in this Series E round.

Our vision is to make design accessible to all. I'm almost nine years into working on Figma and yet I truly believe we're just getting started in pursuit of that vision. Yes, it’s about multiplayer changing the way people work and build together. It means building expert tools for designers and also embracing every role involved in product development. But above all, it’s about opening up access and empowering teams to think, feel and work in a design-first way. And eventually, it will be about more products for more people to be creative and collaborate visually, no matter what their role.

We have an opportunity and responsibility to serve the community of designers who have helped us reach this point. And to welcome everyone from students to the C-suite into a broader design community.

The most important reflection I have for you today is: thank you. The past 16 months of the pandemic have been hard on all of us in different ways. We’ve laughed, cried, worked, and grown together. I’m so grateful for everything you do for Figma, for one another and for our community.

See you at FigNation!

Dylan
