Description
SAIC is looking for A Senior Test Engineer to support a program in San Diego, CA.
The DOLUS program involves deployment of autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USV’s) to demonstrate an enhanced warfighting capability to disrupt adversary activity in a given maritime region. The program seeks to develop an unmanned, remotely operated, and semi-autonomous USV capable of carrying modular payloads into a contested environment in order to reduce warfighter risk and provide tactical advantage.
The DOLUS program is managed by the Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) Program Office (PMS-406) within PEO Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), and is supported by NIWC Pacific, Code 564 who provides expertise to the program sponsor in the areas of hardware and software design, development, installation, test and evaluation of various unmanned and autonomous systems.
SAIC is seeking a test engineer to support project related Test and Evaluation activities. In this role, you will be working with DOLUS T&E IPT Lead and other staff in the development and execution of directed Test and Evaluation events, to include hardware and software tracking and configuration, computer software installation and configuration, inspections of installed equipment. You will compile data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, based upon new testing requirements. Understanding of networked systems to include routers, switches, and firewalls is key. Working knowledge or familiarity with MIDS/JTRS is desired. Experience with VISIO in the development of system simplified drawings is a plus.
