The Innovation and Market Intelligence group is a select team of futurists providing leadership and strategic oversight in the areas of long-term strategy, industry and competitive analysis, business intelligence, and the identification and design of potential “Spotify Moonshots.”

We are looking for a one-of-a-kind, highly motivated and entrepreneurial intern to help lead in-depth market intelligence (across content, technology, culture, web3, etc.), identify and present white space opportunities, draft innovation and corporate strategy, and help launch exponential growth opportunities and partnerships.

The perfect candidate will have a passion for - and exceptional experience in - trend forecasting, venture capital, new concept ideation and innovation, partnerships and corporate strategy. This role is an outstanding opportunity to deeply immerse yourself in the technology, media and audio streaming industry, while leveraging your prior multidisciplinary experience in a holistic and influential way.

What You'll Do

  • Research, synthesize, and present trends across music, media, technology, platform, culture, and beyond
  • Create trend reports, concept memos/briefs, and otherwise put pen to paper on long-term commercial opportunities and strategies
  • Producing polished multimedia output (from decks to small videos to talk audio) presenting actionable insights, opportunities, and strategies relating to emerging near-field opportunities gleaned from your trend forecasting
  • Develop relationships in the field with industry players, emerging companies, venture capitalists, and others that can help inform our long-term strategy, direction, and identify potential growth opportunities or partnerships
  • Be our “eyes and ears” on the ground floor across emerging or nascent markets/industries/technologies, with a particular focus on Web3
  • Consume and synthesize a massive amount of news and industry information to share with the team in an effort to stay ahead of the market.
  • Identify unique, out-of-the-box partnership and M&A opportunities, and be able to develop nuanced investment cases or venture capital-style memos
  • Help design and build low-fidelity prototypes or speculative design pieces to bring innovation concepts to life
  • Act as the Head of Innovation's eyes and ears across Discord, Twitter, Mirror, Medium, Telegram, and Web3
  • Bring a consistent sense of positivity, high energy, and fun to the team on a daily basis

Who You Are

  • Current MBA or graduate student (MFA, MS) with a program emphasis in: Business Administration, Product, Design, or a related field of study
  • Preferably have some prior work experience in product, consulting, or agencies
  • Have at least 3+ years of experience, preferably in the consumer technology, media, and/or venture capital industries
  • Highly proficient in presentation development, with excellent writing and communication abilities
  • Deeply interested and involved in the emerging technology ecosystem, especially as it pertains to Web3 communities
  • A strong sense of the cultural landscape, key players, niche communities and events, and the ability to engage authentically and organically - and build partnerships on behalf of our team

Our paid summer internships last for 10-13 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is March 7th, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST.
