At Canal, we're building the future of commerce. Our first product (launched October ‘21) is a Shopify app that allows D2C brands to expand their product offering by easily cross-selling other brands on their site, as well as offer their products on other sites within our curated network.

We're quickly expanding into the broader e-commerce ecosystem. Soon, Canal will enable anyone with an audience (whether that's a brand or a creator/expert) to monetize their product recommendations.

We're backed by top VC firms and e-commerce leaders, including Forerunner Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Sound Ventures, Gaingels, Shrug Ventures, and we're building a formidable team to tackle the massive opportunity ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a partnerships program intended to drive leads through Agency and Technology partner engagement
  • Primary focus on building out the Agency partnership program
  • Secondary focus on building out select Technology partnerships (requires a clear value proposition for both the partner and Canal)
  • Structure the partner program to scale through process and documentation, ensuring all partners have the tools and support they need to support Canal in market
  • Establish and execute playbook to engage with partners, including goal setting, GTM strategy, and training
  • Facilitate co-marketing opportunities with partners
  • Schedule and manage “lunch and learn” partner enablement sessions
  • Attend and occasionally exhibit at industry conferences
  • Manage select partner events
  • Ensure Canal is both providing and receiving leads to and from partners
  • Work with the sales and other GTM team members to co-sell and accelerate the sales cycle
  • Bring your passion and knowledge for ecommerce to the market

  • A POV on how best to run Canal’s partnership program
  • Capability of driving relationship-focused business development (people trust and like working with you!)
  • Credibility in ecommerce, tech, and SAAS
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • A team mentality, high integrity, and grit
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and organizational skills
  • Shopify experience a plus
