The firm makes later-stage investments and helps its portfolio companies expand into key markets in Asia, starting with Japan, by identifying employees, customers, partners and developing go-to-market strategies.

Geodesic Capital was founded in 2015 by John Roos, Jon Rezneck and Matt Fuller. Leading the investment efforts, Jon Rezneck has over 18 years of finance, growth capital and venture capital experience. Prior to founding Geodesic Capital, John Roos served as the US Ambassador to Japan from 2009-2013 and was the CEO of Wilson Sonsini.

The firm has made over 40 investments to date and partnered with market-leading businesses, such as Airbnb, Databricks, Duo Security, HashiCorp, Looker, Marqeta, Confluent, UiPath, and Workato, among others.

Profile Desired:

We are looking to build out the investment team at multiple levels and are eager to meet the next generation of venture investors who want to join a lean platform where they have the opportunity to make an outsized impact. We are looking for candidates that are comfortable with financial modeling -- a plus to have some prior venture experience.

Investors are primarily responsible for autonomously sourcing new investment opportunities, leading due diligence efforts, and supporting portfolio companies. All team members are also integral in working with our Asian corporate partners on key interest areas and conducting industry research.
