Key job responsibilities

As part of this expansion the Fashion Marketing & Branding is seeking a summer intern to work with The Drop marketing team to build a robust social media and editorial content strategy to reach and engage Millennial and Gen X shoppers on emerging social media channels and beyond. The person in this role will work with leaders and teams across Amazon including Creative, Tech, Social Media, Influencer Managers, Paid Social and Display advertising, and more, to learn and assess current challenges, successes and untapped opportunities with the Millennial and Gen X audience. You will dive deep into social media apps, fashion editorial sites, industry research studies, marketing tactics and playbooks and think big with bold ideas for The Drop marketing team to implement. You will stay on top of current digital trends, monitor, track and report feedback through research. You will consult weekly with your supervisor, a senior marketing professional and expert, who will provide regular feedback, guidance and resources while you conduct your research and learning agenda. At the end of this 12-week internship you will present a Social Media and Editorial Content Strategy and Roadmap to the Fashion Marketing & Branding Leadership Team for review and feedback.

A day in the life

Each day feels a little bit different on this team, as we produce and promote content for an exciting array of brands, products, experiences, and features. In addition to highlighting new arrivals, rising-star brands, and trending and most-loved product, we also accelerate the convenience of shopping for fashion by introducing customers to Prime Try Before You Buy, Personal Shopper, Luxury Stores, The Drop, virtual try-on experiences, and beyond. We challenge ourselves to produce bar-raising, engaging, and creative content – but above all else, we want to (1) make shopping fun and (2) tell stories we can be proud of.
